Parkside Academy is a member of the Advance Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust. Parkside is a highly successful, oversubscribed 11–16 Academy with an in year intake of 180 students. The most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2011) rated Parkside Academy as “Outstanding”. The school consistently achieves outstanding outcomes. The average progress outcome 2016, 17 and 18 is Progress 8 +0.33.
Hartside Primary Academy is a thriving primary school with strong community links located in Crook, County Durham. The school’s mission is to help children progress and succeed. Ofsted judged this primary school as ‘Good’ in 2016. Hartside Primary Academy joined Advance Learning Partnership in February 2018.
Staindrop Academy is an 11–16 Academy with around 520 students. Set on the western edge of the historic village of Staindrop, the most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2017) rated Staindrop Academy as ‘Requires Improvement’. The school is on a journey to “Good” with a full complement of specialist teachers, who have transformed the school. The school has moved forward considerably in a short period of time.
Whitworth Park Academy is a secondary school situated in Spennymoor, County Durham. An Ofsted inspection that took place in December 2016 judged this school as ‘Inadequate’. The school received an HMI visit in June 2018 that outlined the significant progress the school has made and the confidence OFSTED has regarding the strength of the restructured Leadership and Management team in order to sustain school improvement. The school joined Advance Learning Partnership in September 2018 and the trust provides the extra support needed to ensure continuous improvement.
